I'm a first year Linguistics and East Asian Studies double major and am really enjoying it so far. I have a passion for older technology and miss the simplicity we once had in obsolete tech. I'm a fan of video games and anime, although I moreso replay and rewatch the same few things over and over rather than keep up with a bunch at a time. I've spent the majority of my summers working at a summer camp and it's an experience that makes my life feel full. I hope you enjoy perusing my website! I've never used social media much, so the idea of making a website to express myself seemed interesting. It seemed very liberating to have to much freedom of expression. All social media is so same-samey and there's so much pressure to get likes, even if you're not a public figure. There's so much comparision and perceived judgement. I wanted to explore another avenue to post about things online without all the pressures of Instagram or Facebook.

I was most inspired by sadgirl.online's website I find the idea of the yesterweb so interesting. Additionally, I knew almost nothing about html or CSS before starting to make my website, besides a few junior high classes. This has truly been a learning experience for me. Sadly, I seem to have become interested at a bad time, because a few months after I had become interested and started recreationally (and intermittently) making my website, she decided to archive that site and stop updating it. Nevertheless, I will continue with my journey of posting about the things I care about, and continue to learn along the way.
